MyFootballWriter/NorwichCity has been home to a stable of accomplished football writers since its launch in 2006. Originally founded by Evening News football writer Rick Waghorn, the site is now edited by Gary Gowers whose post-match thoughts from Carrow Road and beyond are now a must-read for legions of Canary supporters across the globe.
We are, it is fair to say, a Norfolk institution football-wise.
No longer the little up-start reporting-wise, MFW has grown to be part of the furniture when it comes to Norwich City news and views as the likes of Sky Sports pundit Mick Dennis and ex-Match of the Day editor Paul Armstrong offer their thoughts on events at Carrow Road.
Indeed, we now have a team of writers covering every corner of the ground fan-wise - young, old, male, female, retired, student, River Ender and Barclay Boy, MyFootballWriter has every base covered with its twice daily thought pieces on all things Norwich City.
More importantly, however, MyFootballWriter/NorwichCity gives every supporter the chance to voice their own opinion in a safe and moderated online environment - free from the personal vitriol and abuse that can be found elsewhere on the Internet.
It all helps to build a rich and vibrant sense of community around our publishing space, one that we are now taking into a mobile setting via the launch of our free mobile app.
MyFootballWriter/NorwichCity has always been fan led. What do supporters want to read in the Age of the Internet - when generations of football fans have no interest in buying a local newspaper any more?
Equally, where do they want to read it? And the answer is on the move; in the palm of their hand; on their mobile.
So we wanted to create a safe, mobile space where informed and passionate sports opinions can be aired and shared - and build a model to roll-out across other sporting communities across the globe.
Why not MyBaseballWriter/RedSox?
We also have a second, more commercial aim in enabling local small business to advertise in an equally safe and moderated environment - which is why MyFootballWriter partners with the self-serve ad platform Addiply to deliver fresh new marketing opportunities for local businesses in Norwich and beyond.
Our community can be 17,000 strong every month - these are loyal, local and authentic readers to target simply in a mobile setting. Whats not to love advertising-wise?
So sit back, download our free, new mobile app and enjoy the ride as MyFootballWriter/NorwichCity takes a bold new leap into the Mobile Age...
